Cracked glass, failed sealed units and high-level glazing
Glass replacement begins with identifying the existing glazing, its dimensions, location and installation requirements. A sealed insulating glass unit—often called a double-glazed unit—contains separate panes with a sealed space between them. Persistent misting inside that space is different from condensation on an accessible surface.
Glass specification, support, seals and the surrounding frame must be considered together. Glazing beads retain glass in many framed systems, while gaskets seal the interface. We assess the existing arrangement before agreeing replacement or re-bedding work.
Access and installation planning
High-level glazing can require a building maintenance unit, mobile elevating work platform, rope access or specialist lifting equipment. The method depends on the building, glass size, work area and site restrictions.

Send photographs of the damage and the surrounding frame, the building address and the floor or location. Include any available glazing specification or operation and maintenance information. Dimensions and the final specification need to be confirmed before replacement is arranged.
