Fire doorsets: the door, frame and components together
A fire doorset is more than the door leaf. Our agreed condition checks and maintenance scope consider the frame, gaps and alignment, seals, hinges, locks, closers and any glazing. Existing specification and supporting information are important when deciding which work is appropriate.
Clear scope and traceable records
Facade Maintenance Ltd holds BM TRADA Q-Mark certification for fire door installation and maintenance. We keep that certification distinct from the description of a condition survey. A visual survey does not by itself establish a doorset’s fire-resistance rating.
Agreed maintenance may include adjustment and suitable repairs using the applicable repair guidance. Digital records can include door locations, photographs, completed work, QR-coded identification and downloadable reports for the building team.

Provide the doorset locations, available specification, previous reports and access arrangements. This helps us understand the scope and organise the survey or maintenance programme.
Is the fire-door survey itself Q-Mark certified?
Our Q-Mark certification covers installation and maintenance. We describe condition surveys separately and explain their agreed scope and limitations. We do not treat the presence of a label or a visual check as proof of a doorset’s fire rating.
